Some people might have thought a joke when comedian Stephen Colbert suddenly showing iPad, a new device made by Apple, on the stage to the Grammy Award-52. iPad name jokes may be material in Twitter and YouTube previously because there was connotations as sanitary napkins, but not on the stage Grammys.
When reading the nomination “Song of the Year” this year’s Grammys, Colbert instead of an envelope, but from under his jacket instead issued iPad. And it seems really iPad not just a mock-up because when changed its position, the screen changes from vertical to horizontal.
Colbert then threw a joke to the top rapper from the U.S., Jay-Z. “Did you not get anything like this in your gift bag?” he said, showing the front display to visitors iPad.
The scene was a brief one before Beyonce Colbert announced as the winner. It is unclear whether this is done spontaneously by Colbert to entertain it’s audience or hidden advertising is done Apple.
