iAd New Ads Model from Apple

According to predictions, Apple entered the mobile advertising business that will be distributed through artificial devices to compete with Google and other vendors. Apple CEO Steve Jobs called the mobile advertising platform with the name of iAd.

iAd enables application developers can still reap the benefits even though the application for free or paid applications. These ads can inserted in their homemade applications and its profits will be divided with 60 percent revenue sharing scheme for the developer and 40 percent for Apple.

Jobs claimed iAd opportunity to produce up to 1 billion ad impressions per day from the tens of millions of users with devices made by Apple. He said so far Apple has sold about 50 million, not including the iPhone and iPod Touch iPad.

According to Tim Bajarin, president of consulting firm Creative Strategies, a promising breakthrough that made the Apple ads with new ways of distribution. Apple is also going to take mobile advertising market niche that has not been targeted by Google is currently focused on ad-based search service.

“It was clear that Jobs believes that the ads in the context of the more promising applications of mobile search services rather than generic,” said Bajarain as reported by Reuters on Thursday (8/4/2010). Mobile advertising services expected to rise 78 percent this year reached 1.6 billion U.S. dollars based analyst firm Gartner’s predictions.

iAd will be available on the iPhone 4.0 will be released starting this summer or around June 2010. iPhone 4.0 will not only present itself in the new Apple device, but can also be used on the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and the iPod Touch second generation and third.
